Getting to know each other
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at St. James UMC is a great one!
IN-PERSON WORSHIP
At 10 AM on Sunday mornings, we gather and worship together with prayer, songs of praise, scripture, and a message. We will gather for worship inside the sanctuary.
ONLINE WORSHIP
You can worship with us live and online through Facebook or YouTube at 10 AM every Sunday.
LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
St. James UMC can't be missed on St. James Avenue in Goose Creek. We are located near Lowes, Chick Fil A, and several other churches. Our address is 512 St. James Ave. Goose Creek, SC 29445.

HOW LONG IS A ST. JAMES WORSHIP SERVICE?
In total, a St. James UMC service is about 60 minutes in length.
In our worship service, the music is led by members of our praise band, "Master Plan", our choir, and other vocalists and musicians. Song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of the service is complete, our pastor will share with us a message from the Scriptures in his sermon.
We take communion on the first Sunday of the month. In the United Methodist Church, our table is open to all persons who would like to come and receive. We also have a gluten-free option available.
Every Sunday, we take up an offering. If you are a first-time visitor do not feel required to give, however, if you feel called to or feel that St. James UMC is the place for you, then we thank you for your gifts. You can also give online.

Sundays at St. James UMC are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at St. James, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children's safety. Sunday school is offered for kids of all ages at 9 AM.
